Iyanu Asele Youth Volunteers Advocates 50-50 Youth Representation in Politics.

Iyanu Asele Youth Volunteers, a sociopolitical group, during a press briefing in Akure advocated for the 50-50 percent representation of youths in governance.

The Executive Director of the initiative, Prince Adelosoye Maxwell, expressed his dissatisfaction at manner which youths have been relegated to the background or solely used for electioneering campaigns without little or no representation in government. He noted that the essence of the Volunteers Group is to “create a platform for the youths to rediscover themselves, regain their sense of pride, become relevant and contribute their quota to the general development of the society”.

He further added that “IyanuAsele” is a prophetic message of faith and hope; he categorically stated that the vision of the initiative is to have a viable Ondo State engineered by the politically and economically emancipated youths, which the group intends to achieve through Enlightenments, Advocacy and Community Development.

Agogo News Magazine expressed his delight at the formation of the group in the wake of the present economic hardship but showed his reservation on the weak defense line of the youths who are easily swayed by little amount of money. Prince Adelosoye Maxwell said through enlightenments and advocacy the youths will be exposed to sustainable projects and be made aware of their role as the Leaders Of Now.

Barrister Foluso Adegalu, the Initiative’s Associate Director of Communication while responding to question posed by Bolaji Omotayo of EkimogunMirror.com said Iyanu Asele Youth Volunteers is beyond the November 2016 gubernatorial election in the state, but the group will keep agitating for youthful representation in governance as the youths constitute the largest population in the country.

Ogbeni La the Director of Communication while rounding off the press briefing used the opportunity to enjoin youths that want to know more about the group’s activities  to visit www.iyanuasele.com and also like the group’s Facebook page.
