INEC OPENS MEDIA ACCREDITATION FOR JOURNALISTS IN PREPARATION FOR ANAMBRA GOVERNORSHIP POLL

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has disclosed the official commencement of online accreditation for journalists and media houses who wish to carry out a coverage of the Anambra State governorship election.

 

Rose Oriaran-Anthony, the Secretary to the commission disclose via a statement made available to the public on Monday that the Anambra governorship election is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 8, 2025.

 

“The Independent National Electoral Commission has commenced online accreditation for journalists and media organisations intending to cover the Anambra State governorship election scheduled to hold on Saturday, 8th November, 2025.”

 

The application for media coverage is expected to be submitted through the official INEC accreditation portal at https://imap.inecnigeria.org.

 

The accreditation portal opens on Monday, September 1, 2025, and will close on Friday, October 24, 2025.

 

“Late submission shall not be entertained as the portal will automatically shut down at 12:00 am (midnight) on Friday, 24th October, 2025. For further enquiries, please contact: 07088844564 & 08032861058,” the statement added.
