INEC beefs up security in Rivers

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday beefed up security at it various collation centres across the state, as the Commission is set to start announcing the official results of the National and State Assembly re-run elections.

The Saturday elections was marred with various allegation of irregularities with the state government alleging the military of colluding with All Progressive Party (APC) in the state to hijack election materials.

INEC has earlier suspended election in six local governments of the state citing electoral violence.
