Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has expressed profound grief over the demise of Brigadier General Jones Oladeinde Arogbofa (rtd) an illustrious son of Ondo State who died in the early hours of Saturday.
Brigadier General Arogbofa, who retired from the Nigerian Army in 2004, served as the Chief of Staff to President Goodluck Jonathan from 2014 to 2015.
Governor Aiyedatiwa extended condolences to the Arogbofa family and the residents of Oka Akoko, Akoko South West local government area. Recognizing Gen. Arogbofa’s remarkable contributions to Nigeria as a soldier, politician, and administrator.
The Governor emphasized the indelible mark he left on the nation’s development.
Offering prayers for the peaceful repose of Arogbofa’s soul, Governor Aiyedatiwa also consoled the late statesman’s elder brother, Bashorun Seinde Arogbofa, a surviving founding father of Ondo State.
The Governor urged the Arogbofa family to seek solace in cherished memories and the enduring legacy left by the departed statesman.
