Governor Aiyedatiwa Flags Off Construction Of Rural Roads In Ondo State

Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has launched the construction of rural roads in a bid to enhance grassroots development and ensure food security.

The governor affirmed his dedication to the project during the groundbreaking ceremony of the 15.5km Oda Cocoa Board – Camp 2 – Langbodo Road in Oda town.

The first phase spans the three senatorial districts, benefiting areas such as Ode-Omi-Ebute Iyara in Irele and Ifira-Afo in Akoko South East. Governor Aiyedatiwa stressed the importance of stakeholders taking ownership of the projects and closely supervising contractors to maintain road quality.

The second phase of road contracts is anticipated in the first quarter, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to grassroots development. The project, funded by the World Bank, French Development Agency, and Ondo State Government, aims to connect rural communities with urban areas for efficient transportation of farm produce.
