Governor Aiyedatiwa Approves Payment Of Salary Arrears for Rugipo Workers

Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has approved the payment of three months overdue salaries of the workers of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo.

The salary arrears were disbursed on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.

The Rector of the Polytechnic, Mr. Adegun Simon Olorunwa, confirmed the successful payment and expressed gratitude to the Governor for his commitment to addressing the lingering salary challenges within the institution.

Governor Aiyedatiwa had recently pledged to tackle major issues affecting the Polytechnic during an interaction with students at the school gate in Owo on his way to Ikare Akoko two weeks ago.

The Governor, acknowledging the warm reception by the students, assured them of his administration’s dedication to resolving issues, particularly focusing on salary arrears and entitlements for both teaching and non-teaching staff.

Acting on the Governor’s directive, the Head of Service of the State, Pastor Kayode Ogundele, engaged with the Polytechnic’s management to devise lasting solutions, preventing further disruptions to the academic calendar.
