GOVERNOR AIYEDATIWA APPROVES N1.2B TO COMPLETE ABANDONED PROJECTS IN OAUSTECH

Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has approved a capital grant of 1.2 Billion Naira from the 2024 budget to Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH) for the swift completion of abandoned projects, including buildings for the School of Science.

The governor also pledged to consider the institution’s monthly subvention of 91 Million Naira to enhance school operations.

He committed to facilitating the completion of abandoned hostel buildings funded by the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and the Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC).

Commending the institution’s founding fathers, the governor inaugurated the new Central Engineering Workshop Complex and highlighted the upcoming School of Maritime Transport and Logistics at 60% completion, emphasizing its significance for the Ondo State Deep Seaport Project and the Blue Economy.

The Governor expressed gratitude to his predecessor, Akeredolu , and announced the automatic employment offer to the Best Graduating Student, Adedayo Taiwo Janet, during the 2nd Convocation ceremony, where 1,341 students graduated from various programs.

The Pro-Chancellor, Prof. Adebo Adesomoju, appreciated the governor’s support for the ongoing construction of internal roads, while the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Temi Ologunorisa, highlighted the diverse disciplines represented among the graduating students.
