GOMBE POLICE HAIL IG OVER NEW KITS

Kayode Egbetokun, the Inspector-General of the Nigerian Police Force has ordered the distribution of customised police kits to officers and men of the Gombe State Command in line with effort to upscale officers welfare and improve professional standards.

 

The distribution of the kits was effected at the Police Headquarters in Gombe on Thursday during the monthly conference of the Gombe State Police Command.

 

The exercise was led by the Commissioner of Police, CP Bello Yahaya, on behalf of the IGP.

 

According to the command, the kits included camouflage, dark grey, neo blue, and synthetic yellow uniforms for Traffic Wardens, along with belts, berets, black police shoes, various categories of line yards, badges, and rank insignia, among other items.

 

CP Yahaya explained during the event that the initiative was an highlight of the IGP’s commitment to boosting the morale of officers and improving their professionalism.

 

“The Inspector-General has made it clear that improved personnel welfare remains a key driver of effective policing and service delivery.

 

“We urge our officers to maintain cleanliness, dress appropriately, and uphold the professional standards of the Force as leadership continues to invest in their welfare.”
