Siminalayi Fubara, the Governor of Rivers State has left the Government House in Port-Harcourt in the company of his family and security attachments.
According to a close source who preferred anonymity, Fubara reportedly left the seat of power on Wednesday morning.
Although the two Armored Personnel Carrier sighted in front of the premises on Monday night are still stationed in the same position alongside some security operatives, security at the government house remain sparse.
It was reported that normal daily activities were going on in Port-Harcourt and its environs.
Meanwhile, Vice Admiral Ibokette Ibas (retd.),was yet to resume office at 12:50pm on Wednesday. He was appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to run the state for the next six months.
Newsmen at the Government House noticed that preparations were in top gear to receive the Sole Administrator as soldiers were seen in the premises ahead of his arrival.
