Oloja of Igba Community Celebrates 10 Years as Community Head

It was celebration galore in Igba Community, as the Oloja of Igba; Oloja Babalola Kehinde (JP) marked his 10th year anniversary as the head of Igba Community.

Although he emerged as the Oloja in April 2004, Oloja Babalola was not installed until almost two years after his emergence. He was installed as the Oloja of Igba community on January 14, 2006 by the late Osemawe of Ondo Kingdom; Oba Festus Ibidapo Adesanoye.

The 10th coronation anniversary was flagged off with a prayer session at the Igba Community Town Hall on 14th January 2016 and was followed by a football match amongst the teeming youths of the community the next day. The grand finale of the anniversary was the launching of the N150, 000, 000.00 (One Hundred and Fifty Million Naira) Palace and an elaborate party at Saint Edward’s (R.C.M) Primary School, Igba where the members of the community were treated to a delight by the community head.

The coronation anniversary was rounded up with a thanksgiving service which took place on Sunday 17th January 2016 at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Ondo Province 2, Throne of Grace Area Headquarters, KSA Compound, Igba. The officiating minister congratulated the Oloja on his achievements and encouraged him to do more for the people while also moving closer to God.

The thanksgiving service was attended by Oloja J.O Bolanle: the Oloja of Sakoto Community who is also the incumbent Vice Chairman of the Olojas of Ondo Kingdom as well as the Oloja of Owena: Oloja Akinduro Gbadega amongst other important dignatories.

While speaking with Ekimogunmirror, the Oloja expressed his appreciation to the people of Igba Community for their massive support and promised to improve on his developmental efforts of the Community.
