EPL: PEOPLE THOUGHT WE WERE TITLE CONTENDERS AFTER ARSENAL GAME – MARESCA

Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca, has claimed everyone believed they were Premier League title contenders after their 1-1 draw with Arsenal last month.

The Blues took the lead against Mikel Arteta’s men despite going down to 10 men in the first half.

But Mikel Merino’s header ensured the league leaders left Stamford Bridge with one point.

However, since then, Chelsea’s form has fallen out and they are yet to win a single game, leading to criticism of the manager.

“It’s something that unfortunately I cannot control [if anyone doesn’t have full faith in me],” Maresca told reporters.

“After Arsenal game, everyone was thinking that we were title contenders. After one week, everyone is complaining.

“It’s football, it’s our business!”
