EFCC ARREST 32 INTERNET FRAUDSTERS, RECOVERS PISTOL, CAR, OTHERS IN BAUCHI

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested suspected internet fraudsters numbering up to Thirty-two (32) in Bauchi.

 

The commission made this known through a post on its official social media handle on Monday.

 

The statement said the suspects were arrested in Sabon Kaura and Gwalameji areas of Bauchi, Bauchi State capital, following credible intelligence that linked them to fraudulent internet activities.

 

The commission made it known that the arrested suspects will be made to face the full wrath of the law after a comprehensive investigation has been concluded.

 

Operatives of the Gombe Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Friday, July 25, 2025, arrested 32 suspected internet fraudsters.

 

“They were arrested in Sabon Kaura and Gwalameji areas of Bauchi, Bauchi State capital, following credible intelligence that linked them to fraudulent internet activities.”

 

According to the statement, items recovered from the operation include “Nine Samsung mobile phones, 15 iPhones, one Infinix phone, three Redmi phones, two iPads, one Peugeot 406 car, two PlayStation 4, one PlayStation 5, four Neonx Auto bikes, eight laptop computers, one Maxi E50KWH generator and one pistol.”
