Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, expressed joy at the victory of APC’s Ife Ehindero in the Akoko North East/Akoko North West Federal Constituency bye-election.
The APC candidate secured 35,504 votes, defeating the PDP’s Bada Olalekan with 15,328 votes, marking the first election under Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration.
The Governor thanked the constituents for their massive turnout and overwhelming support for the APC.
In a congratulatory message, Governor Aiyedatiwa praised Ehindero’s tenacity and impressive campaign. The victory is seen as an endorsement of the APC and brings high expectations for Ehindero to surpass his predecessor’s achievements.
The Governor acknowledged INEC, security agencies, and APC leaders for their roles in ensuring a free, fair, and peaceful election, hoping for increased party unity ahead of the upcoming governorship election.
