Akeredolu Not Incapacitated, He’ll Resume Soon – Ondo Govt

The Ondo State Government has stated that Governor Rotimi Akeredolu is not incapacitated and will soon return to his duties. Concerns about the governor’s health arose when he went on medical leave abroad and handed over power to his deputy on June 13.

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Adamu, allegedly claimed that Akeredolu was in a state of “extreme incapacity” during a meeting with state chairmen of the party in Abuja. However, the Ondo State Commissioner for Information, Bamidele Ademola-Olateju, refuted these claims and emphasized that Akeredolu is not in a critical situation.

Ademola-Olateju stated that the national chairman was actually pleased with the reports of Akeredolu’s recovery and urged everyone present at the meeting to pray for his quick return. The commissioner further emphasized that the governor is not incapacitated and will resume his duties as soon as he is certified fully fit by his doctors.
