Akeredolu, Mimiko promise seamless transition

The outgoing governor of Ondo State,  Dr. Olusegun Mimiko and the governor- elect, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN in a meeting yesterday assured people of the sunshine state of a smooth transition that will usher in a new administration in February 24 , 2017.

Governor Mimiko while hosting the governor-elect said the state is making history because it is going to be the first seamless transition between two civilian to civilian government and I’m proud to be part of this.

He further thanked the people of the state for their peaceful conduct before during and after the elections.

He advised the governor-elect to uphold the peace in the state at all time.

The governor-elect in his remark earlier explained that he came to discuss how to set up a transition committee to work together so that the panel would complete their job on time before February 24.

He also commended the governor for hi numerous achievements in the past 7 years. “We all owe you debts of gratitude for your service to this state and to Nigeria. “Whether we like it or not, you have a track record, it will take hard work to surpass it”.
