ACCIDENT CLAIMS THIRTY (30) LIVES IN ONDO

An accident that occurred on the Benin-Ore-Ijebu Ode expressway at Onipetesi community in Odigbo Local Government has reportedly claimed thirty (30) lives as a two buses collided and burst into flames.

 

The accident was confirmed by the Federal Road Safety Corp Ondo state sector command on Sunday.

 

According to the Sector commander, Mr Samuel Ibitoye, it was stated one of the drivers of the two buses was driving against traffic as revealed by preliminary investigation. He said thirty (30) persons lost their life as twenty-eight (28) of them were burnt beyond recognition.

 

Mr Samuel Ibitoye noted that two of the victims were initially alive, but died afterwards as they were being driven to the hospital.
